We had never done a video like this before for our business and they made sure to explain things without any room for misunderstanding. We knew we had to try something new for our marketing campaign, and hadn’t ever done a whiteboard animation (cartoon) before, but knew they were powerful and delivered a memorable message. So we Googled. Many firms were US-based and whilst the prices were attractive, they simply didn’t ‘get’ what Capital was all about. It had to be a UK firm that understood our marketplace (Financial Services) and we were lucky to find Pete Tutte at Cartoon Media. One of our own team, James, suggested a cartoon ‘couple’ that viewers could relate to, and it didn’t take long for the cartoonist to visualise Mike and Sue. It was so good we went with the first option. The script and timings came next and Pete helped us at every step, offering helpful and creative solutions. It was a tough job and we wanted it to be perfect in every way, which resulted in many edits and changes, no doubt causing frustration with Pete but he never showed it. As the project neared the end, we asked for several voiceover alternatives to get the perfect tone. Eventually the dialogue was added and the cartoon coloured, which brought it totally alive. We are now the proud owners of an innovative 4-minute cartoon which we can use on our website, YouTube and social media for a long time to come. It all came in on time and on budget. If you want a whiteboard done professionally by people you can trust, then Cartoon Media is the place to start.
Cartoon Media, Pete and Phil in particular, were amazing to work with throughout the process. Even before I signed up for a cartoon they made themselves available to answer any questions I had (and I had a lot). Once I signed up the process was well-constructed and it quickly became evident that Cartoon Media takes their job seriously. They kept me on track, and I never had to worry about them dragging their feet. From brainstorming, to drafts, to content creation, to music, to finished product – they ran a tight and efficient ship from start to finish. I’m excited with the finished product and should the need arise I would certainly work with the team again.
